CALLING ALL ROLE PLAYERS!!!  Valbin Corporation has recurring needs to hire Civilian on the Battlefield Role Players to support a number of different client contract task orders.  These positions are managed differently to help candidates apply quickly and facilitate rapid hiring to meet short-notice requirements.  These positions are frequently based at the following locations to support U.S. Army, Department of State and government client Mission Readiness Exercises (MRE).

POSITION SUMMARY: Most Role Player Exercises support US military units and Government Civilian employees participating in Mission Readiness Exercise rotations that can last between one (1) and 60 days. A typical training day can last between 8 - 12 consecutive hours but many require role player support at any time of a 24-hour period. Role Players will encounter limited-visibility, adverse weather conditions featuring rain, freezing or extremely hot and humid temperatures during the rotation. Role players will be accountable to the direction and guidance of a Site Lead / Program Manager and respond to mission tasking to be at the appropriate place and time to support military and government training. As required, foreign language proficiencies will be specified for linguist/interpreter positions and the candidate will be tested to validate language proficiency levels in English and the Target Language. Role players can be required to participate in pre-exercise events, training, rehearsals or other support requirements. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES [Each customer exercise will specify exact responsibilities; many common role player responsibilities are as follows:
  • Support all phases of exercise requirements, scenarios and Commander's training guidance
  • Replicate non-combatant and combatant civilians in the Operational Environment
  • Provide male and female role player support
  • Conducts initial interviews with potential key personnel for targeted programs
  • Simulate local government employees, professionals, interpreters, laborers and members of international or non-governmental organizations
  • Perform as licensed motor vehicle operators to drive small and medium passenger capacity sedans, vans or tactical vehicles
  • Participate in protests carrying cultural signs and wear appropriate cultural wardrobe to replicate specific tasks associated wtih their character
  • Wear moulage dressings to replicate injuries or battlefield effects within role player character


REQUIRED SKILLS: [See specific contract for mandatory requirements; many common skills are as follows]
  • Possess SCRL Foreign Language proficiency levels and English as required for specific Linguist/Interpreter/Translator Role Player positions
  • Attain necessary level of security clearance or access for the contract
  • Understand cultural background and knowledge if/as required for contract role player position
  • Be present and available at time of work schedule based on contract requirements
  • Possess a current/valid US State Drivers license
  • Obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) certificate; if required possess an active security clearance between SECRET and TOP SECRET
  • Possess oral and written communication skills and courteous interpersonal skills. 


PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Familiarity Middle East, Africa, Southeast/Southwest Asia culture and regional affairs
  • Former US military service member with overseas deployment
  • Previously lived in a foreign country
  • Ability to type using a computer and word processing software
